MultiMedia at 2006 International Cooperation Summit for
Asia-Pacific CEOs
& Provincial Governors and Mayors

Invited by the Organizing Committee,
MultiMedia SRL, represented by Nicolae Sfetcu, will participate this year as
guest at the International Cooperation Summit for Asia-Pacific CEOs & Provincial
Governors and Mayors (http://www.ap-summit.org). The event will take place starting Sept.20th to Sept.21st,
2006, in Wuxi - China. During the summit,
MultiMedia will promote its activity as well as the business opportunities
in Romania, during the speech, by means of the promotional materials, and during
the direct contacts.
The International Cooperation Summit for Asia-Pacific CEOs & Provincial
Governors and Mayors is the highest level and also the only summit in the world,
which is committed to establishing a long-term and stable communication
mechanism between provincial governors and mayors & CEOs and promoting
communication and cooperation between Asia-Pacific CEOs and high-ranking local
officials.

Excellence and Business Prestige, Gold Category, Geneva 2005
The 30th International Star Award
for Quality for Excellence and Business Prestige is part of the
annual program of B.I.D., Business Initative Directions Awards,
designed to recognize the prestige of the outstanding companies,
organizations, and businessmen in the business world. This year, the
30th International ceremony awards will be handed out at the
International Star Award Conference, in the Intercontinental Gèneve
Hotel of Geneva, on 9 - 10 October. The Ceremony will be attended by
companies from 68 countries, together with leaders from different
business fields, professionals from the worlds of economics, the
arts and corporate image, quality experts, as well as academic
personalities and representatives from the diplomatic corps. The
event will be covered by reporters, television cameras and
photographers for the media.
During the 30th International Star
Award for Quality Celebration, the awards will be presented in the
following categories:
European Parliament's translation conference
Bucharest, Mar 30, 2005
The European
Parliament's
Directorate
General for Translation and Publishing, in cooperation with all
other EU Institutions organized a conference in Bucharest in view of
the forthcoming accession of Romania to the European Union in 2007.
As a company that offers its recognized services in the translation domain, MultiMedia was invited to participate to this conference.
The MultiMedia representative was informed about the translation
processing both in general at the European Parliament and
in the other Institutions, and regarding the calls for tenders for
external translation.
By participating to that event, MultiMedia is now capable to upgrade
its services in order to correspond to the general needs of the
Institutions in the European Union.

at CeBIT 2005, Hanover - Results & conclusions
MultiMedia is a Romanian company
that is presently activating exclusively on the Internet, throughout
its diversified and quality business services.
As the development strategy of the
company includes the extension of the activities on the local
market, as well as on national market, this year Multimedia
participated for the first time as an exhibitor to an international
event like that, at CeBIT 2005 Hanover, Germany (10-16 March), which
brought together over 6,000 firms from 72 countries and over 500,000
visitors.
MultiMedia had its own stand
integrated in the general stand of Romania, which was in the IT
Outsourcing area, and participated as an active member to the
project ArcaNova that run during this period.
During the event numerous business
and representing contacts were established. The ideas that were most
appreciated were the integrated solutions that MultiMedia offers in
developing and promoting on the Internet the companies and the
organizations centered on collaborative projects. Most of the
contacts that continued and were finalized through a contract after
returning to Romania come from the Middle East and Germany.
Besides the finalized contracts
and the contacts established in this period, MultiMedia also
benefited of a new perspective on the international IT market, on
the basis of which a new strategy of development and investments
will be considered. As a prime result of this analysis, MultiMedia
will soon start a very active and diversified campaign of recruiting
new specialists, including collaborating with freelancers through
its own system of teleworking, according to the documents of the
European Union regarding the promotion of alternative remote
working.

From cosmic space researches to studies in the domain
of airship and car construction, and Internet
On 26th and 27th of
November 2004, Multimedia SRL Drobeta Turnu Severin participated in
Munich, Germany at the lunching of the DriveSafe project.
DriveSafe project is
one of the biggest research projects financed by the European
Commission, regarding the funds allocated and also the number of
companies that participate, their market value, and the objectives
that are trying to be achieved.
The active participants
of the DriveSafe project are: Airbus, Siemens VDO Automotive SAS,
Institut National de Recherche en Informatique et en Automatique,
Eurisco International and One Too SA (French), Kaiser-Threde GmbH,
Plan_B Media GmbH and Gesellschaft fur Ledien und
Kommunikationsforschung GmbH (Germany), Area 17 AB and Incordia AB
(Sweden) and Multimedia SRL (Romania).
The starting point of
the project is an eye tracking device, that is built and which
license is owned by the German company Kaiser-Threde, used in
present by N.A.S.A. for the study of the cosmonauts’ behavior in
cosmic space.
The researches on this
device refer to improving its performance, expanding its area of
usability, so it can be used for testing the pilots’ behavior, the
hypo-vigilance of the car drivers, and also to adapt the airships
and cars to the results obtained through the analyze of the specific
tests, and also to the usability of the web sites and Internet
advertising and optimizing the web pages depending on the obtained
results.
After 2 years research
period, the experience and device are going to be exploited at an
industrial level by a consortium formed by the partners in the
DriveSafe project.
